Enjoy the charm of a combined rental with seamless access between the Hall and Cottage. Nestled in the countryside near Lanchester, it’s a welcoming retreat for unforgettable gatherings!
With exclusive use you have access to both properties; two beautiful kitchens, two living rooms, the library room, and breakfast room snug in which to relax, plus the Billiards Room for games. Plus, the Attic Room features a kitchenette.
With ample grounds to enjoy outdoor games and include spaces for more relaxed moments such as the House of Wendy, a thatched pavilion, ideal for outdoor dining.  There are two firepits, one at the Cottage and one at The Hall, and two gas barbeques.
If you wish to make your stay extra special, such as hiring the use of a Private Chef, please reach out to us directly.
Please note that minimum stay is 2 nights (except for Christmas and New Year 2026 when arrival is Wednesday with a minimum stay of 7 nights.)

Directions
From North or South via A1(M)
From the A1(M), take Exit 62 (Durham/Sunderland) and follow the A690 toward Durham City. Continue onto the A691 heading northwest toward Lanchester/Consett. Stay on the A691 (Durham Road). The entrance to Burnhopeside Hall is located 1 mile before you reach the village of Lanchester, on the left if you are heading away from Durham. Look for lamps along the roadside and and a sign for 'Doggieland' where you turn in. Signs for Burnhopeside Hall will direct you down the correct driveway.

50% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 60 days before arrival or earlier.
